The Artist
Twenty-four years ago Alex Ludden
began experimenting with black and white techniques and discovering
the magic of the darkroom. Since then Alex has presented his works
at many art shows all over the United States.
Alex won The
Kai Jorgenson Award for "After the Rain" at the
Palm Springs Desert Museum Exhibition. Howard M. Fox, curator
of contemporary art at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, judged
the competition.
Mystic Light
Photography is the art
of capturing the unseen.
Alex's favorite subjects are found
in the radiant rainbow of colors and the subtle textures created
by dawn, dusk, and mist. These ambiances provide the backdrop
for "Mystic Light," landscapes which share serenity
and surreality, harmony and divergence, and nature's perfection
and mistakes.
More than isolating a time or place,
Alex identifies the life-force and spirit of his subjects and captures
the feeling of a moment for future reflection and mutual enjoyment.
International Perspective
Born in Argentina, Alex has traveled
the globe to bring the unique character and common splendor of
diverse landscapes in his work. His travels include:
India, Mexico, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Brazil, China, Belize, Costa Rica,
Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy, Ireland, Canada, Guatemala,
Belgium, Argentina, England, Tahiti, Hawaii, Thailand ...
Alex's works frequently highlight
the harmony of architecture with nature. His subjects are as varied
as a still of castle rising skyward with mountains from fertile
valleys to a video adventure tracing the footsteps of nineteenth
century explorers uncovering majestic Mayan ruins.
Join Alex on a trip beyond the borders of photography as you enter the world of the unseen.
All you have to pack is your imagination.
